How to Install NordVPN on Fire Stick

Follow these simple steps to install and set up NordVPN on your Amazon Fire Stick or Fire TV device.

Prerequisites

Before you begin: Make sure you have an active NordVPN subscription. If you don’t have one yet, visit nordvpn.com to sign up.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Turn on your Fire Stick and go to the home screen.

Step 2: Using your Fire Stick remote, navigate to the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top left of the screen.

Step 3: Type NordVPN using the on-screen keyboard.

Step 4: Select the NordVPN app from the search results (it should show the official NordVPN logo).

Step 5: Click the Download or Get button to install the app.

Step 6: Wait for the installation to complete. This usually takes 1-2 minutes depending on your internet speed.

Step 7: Once installed, click Open to launch NordVPN.

Step 8: On the welcome screen, click Log In.

Step 9: You’ll see a code displayed on your TV screen. Keep this screen open.

Step 10: On your phone, tablet, or computer, go to nordvpn.com/login

Step 11: Log in with your NordVPN credentials.

Step 13: Your Fire Stick will automatically connect once the code is verified.

Connecting to a VPN Server

Step 14: Click the Quick Connect button to connect to the fastest available server.

Pro Tip: To choose a specific country, use the country list on the left side of the app. This is useful if you want to access content from a specific region.

Troubleshooting

Can’t find NordVPN in the Amazon App Store?

Make sure your Fire Stick is connected to the internet and your Amazon account region settings allow the NordVPN app. NordVPN is available in most regions.

Login code not working?

Make sure you’re entering the code exactly as shown and that your NordVPN subscription is active. The code expires after a few minutes, so request a new one if needed.

Connection issues?

Try disconnecting and reconnecting, or select a different server location. You can also restart your Fire Stick if problems persist.

Note: Once NordVPN is connected, all internet traffic from your Fire Stick will be encrypted and routed through the VPN server. This includes all apps and streaming services on your device.
